Woman 9 months pregnant involved in car crash

A woman who is nine months pregnant woman was injured in a car accident along the lower East Coast Demerara on Tuesday morning around 02:15hrs.

This publication was not supplied with any names.

Based on information we received police sources, a truck was heading east, as was the car in which the injured woman was.

Upon the approach to the Vryheids Lust Public Road Traffic Light, the truck prepared to stop at the light but the car which coming fast behind, slammed into the back of the truck.

The pregnant woman suffered a broken arm. A member of the Guyana Defence Force who is said to be the woman’s reputed husband and who was driving car at the time, escaped unhurt.
