Police outpost bombers are suspected Venezuelan sindicatos

Police sources familiar with the ongoing investigation into the terrorist attack on the East Ruimveldt Police Outpost On Saturday May 17,2025 in Georgetown are suspected members of the Venezuelan Sindicato Gang based on their association with a key suspect in the investigation.
Today, a Guyanese National Seon Carmichael who facilitated the men’s operations will be placed before the courts. He is expected to be charged with two counts of Terrorism.
Based on information reaching BIG Smith News Watch, Carmichael has been known to the me for some time now and would usually provide them with transportation services.
Carmichael told detectives that he was contacted by his friend Flavio Tasso to transport the men after their arrival in Guyana. Flavio is known to be associated to members of the Venezuelan Sindicato Gang.
They first went to a Brazilian Hotel in Robb Street where they checked in and after realizing that the conditions there were not to their liking, they then relocated to another hotel, this time in Stevedore Housing Scheme.
Questioned about his decision to support the men in their terrorist acts, Carmichael explained that the men threatened to harm his family if he does cooperate. This the police are questioning since based on their intelligence, it is not the first time that he has linked up with Flavio the Brazilian and other Venezuelans.
Police detectives are of the view that after the attacks on May 17, at both the Police outpost and a Guyana Power and Light Sub Station in South Georgetown, they made their way into the interior.
Based on our information, the police are seeking to confirm intelligence that Flavio is wanted in Brazil for murder and that he is also not welcomed in Venezuela due to a fallout between him and the Sindicatos due to an old misunderstanding.
On Tuesday, the Guyana Police Force issued wanted bulletins for Flavio and two Venezuelans in relation to the bombings.
