Man lashed to head during argument over biscuits

Twenty-four-year-old Kurt Stephanie of Henrietta, Essequibo Coast Region 2, died on Thursday morning at the Georgetown Public Hospital while receiving medical attention.

Stephanie was the man who during an argument over biscuits with another man, was lash to his head with a piece of wood.

Last week, the suspect and victim were at a roadside snackette, when an argument started between them over the biscuits.

It was reported that the now dead man first attacked the suspect with a piece of wood.

The suspect, however, managed to disarm Stephanie, and lashed him to the head using the same piece of wood.

The twenty-four-year-old was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital in an unconscious condition. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he remained in an unconscious state until the time of death.

The suspect, on the other hand, was arrested and placed before the court last Friday. He was not required to plea, and was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 for attempted murder.

This new development, however, means that the suspect will likely be hauled before the courts again, facing a different charge
