Two Remanded for Raping 14-Year-Old Girl

December 19 2025
Two young men, including a well-known local boxer, appeared in the Albion Magistrates’ Court on Friday, facing grave allegations regarding the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.
The accused, Terron Wintz, 19, of Glasgow Housing Scheme, and Keson Kesney, 20, appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Michelle Mathias. Kesney, who is currently on remand for an unrelated matter, appeared via Zoom.
The court heard that the incident occurred a few weeks ago at a residence along the East Bank Berbice. According to reports, the 14-year-old victim was allegedly lured to the house by a 16-year-old female friend under the guise of visiting an aunt.
Upon entering the home, the victim found eight males imbibing. It is alleged that Wintz and Kesney forced the girl into a room while her friend departed.
The prosecution claims the victim’s ankles were handcuffed and her hands were tied behind her back before the act was committed.
The matter came to light after a video of the ordeal surfaced on social media. The victim’s mother, upon seeing the footage, questioned her daughter. The teenager, who stated she was unfamiliar with the males at the house, eventually disclosed the details of the assault.
A formal report was filed with the police, followed by a medical examination of the minor. Her mother has noted that the 14-year-old remains deeply traumatized by the event.
After reviewing the details of the case, Magistrate Mathias refused bail for both defendants. They were remanded to prison.
The case has been transferred to the New Amsterdam Magistrates Court where the duo will return on January 5, 2026, for their next court appearance.
