Shemar Moore and Kevin Rose were declared not guilty of Patrick Fraser’s murder by a jury on Wednesday afternoon. Fraser, often referred to as “White Boy”, was shot and killed in Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara (EBD), while liming with friends.

At the High Court in Demerara, Moore, 27, and Rose, 26, were on trial for the murder of the 20-year-old before Judge Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. The two men were found not guilty of the offence by the jurors after they deliberated on Wednesday.

According to their joint charge, on May 9, 2019, at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara, while in the company of others, they murdered Fraser during the course or furtherance of a robbery.

Around 20:30 hours, Fraser, a resident of Republic Park, EBD, was having drinks with friends at a well-known “drugs yard” in Bagotstown when “someone discharged two rounds at him,” as per the police report.

The young man, who is reportedly related to the proprietor of C&F Harbour Bridge Mall at Bagotstown and was brought to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre by a friend, passed away while receiving treatment. There were two bullet wounds in him.

Police investigators located at the murder scene: a .32 spent shell, one warhead, a pair of black-and-orange slippers and a white Polo cap.
