37-Y-O Quincy Baird, a photographer, has been charged in connection with an alleged larceny involving telecommunications company One Communications Guyana Inc.

Baird of Plantation “B”, Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, was on Monday, December 29, 2025, charged with Larceny by Clerk or Servant, contrary to Section 184 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

Baird appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Her Worship Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, where the charge was read to him.

He was not required to plead to the indictable offence.

The court granted Baird bail in the sum of $1 million Guyana dollars.

As part of the bail conditions, he is required to lodge his passport with the court, refrain from having any contact with employees of One Communications Guyana Inc., and report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters every second Friday of each month.

(GPF)

The matter has been adjourned to Wednesday, February 11, 2026, for further proceedings.
