Guyana is set to see major changes at the ministerial and public sector leadership levels, as President Dr Irfaan Ali signaled a new Cabinet lineup designed to deliver stronger results and accelerate national development.

Fresh off his swearing-in ceremony today at State House for a second five-year term, Dr Ali announced that the composition of the new Cabinet will be unveiled in the coming days.

He emphasized that the selections will prioritize competence, character, and a firm commitment to serving the people.

The President said the restructured Cabinet and supporting appointments across the public sector are intended to create a more responsive, delivery-driven government.

He underscored that this shake-up is necessary for Guyana to adapt to the rapid pace of its economic transformation and to ensure citizens benefit directly from growth.

President Ali also noted that the administration will focus on bold decision-making, critical thinking, and relentless effort as it seeks to build a Guyana not only rich in resources but abundant in opportunities for all.

The President’s second term, running from 2025 to 2030, comes at a time of rapid change for the nation, with oil revenues, infrastructure expansion, and social development all central to his agenda.
