Nandy Park businessman found dead in home

A 49-year-old businessman was found dead at his Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara residence on Thursday, with a post-mortem examination later determining that he died from heart failure.
Dead is Freeman Fordyce, who lived alone at the residence.
Fordyce was last seen alive by a relative at about 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact him, the relative went to his home on Thursday and discovered his body in a bedroom.
He was pronounced dead by a doctor from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
An examination of the body revealed no marks of violence, and there were no initial indications of foul play.
A post-mortem examination with dissection was conducted on Friday, August 7, by Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
The cause of death was determined to be heart failure.
Fordyce’s body was subsequently handed over to relatives for burial.
