25-Y-O Ryan Singh, a porter from Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm in connection with an incident that occurred on June 1, 2025.

Singh was arrested by ranks from the Beterverwagting Police Station and formally charged on June 10, 2025, for allegedly assaulting Wazim Shameer during an altercation in Mon Repos.

He appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Clive Nurse, where the charge was read to him.

Bail was granted in the sum of $100,000, and the case has been adjourned until July 18, 2025, for the presentation of statements.
