
Minister of Natural Resources, Vickram Bharrat, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Oil Development for Guyana, held yesterday.
The event underscores the Government of Guyana’s commitment to human resource development in the burgeoning oil sector.
The month-long seminar, taking place at the GFC Complex in Kingston, is supervised by the Ministry of Natural Resources. It is co-organized by the Development Research Center of China Geological Survey and CNOOC Guyana.
This initiative aligns with the government’s policy to continuously enhance the skills and knowledge of its workforce, ensuring that Guyana remains at the forefront of the oil industry.
Minister Bharrat emphasized the importance of such educational opportunities in fostering sustainable development and maximizing the benefits of Guyana’s natural resources for its citizens.
