Man busted with cocaine on his birthday

The Cocaine which was unearthed.

A man who celebrated his 66th birth anniversary on Tuesday was busted with two hundred and ninety grams of cocaine in his shoes while attempting to board a plane to the United States.

The name of the name of the mule was not provided by the police who released a statement on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the force, the bust was made on Tuesday at the Cheddie Jagan International Airport and the cocaine was found in a pair of shoes the man was wearing at the time.

The cocaine mule is expected to have his day in court on Thursday.
