Approximately 3,000 Region Three residents were engaged by the Ministry of Housing and Water-Central Housing and Planning by the end of the two-day Presidential Direct Outreach, at the Leonora Track and Field Centre.

The agency was able to fast-track the processing of Land Titles for residents of Leonora Pasture, thereby closing a 100-year old issue. The area, which was under the purview of GuySuCo, has more than 50 occupants. The first set of titles were presented by H.E. Dr. Irfaan Ali to the residents this afternoon.

Over 300 persons with outstanding applications in the region were also allocated house lots within the two-day period.

Other residents were given the opportunity to initiate their house lot applications, register for turn-key homes, and the steel and cement subsidy. Application updates and queries were also facilitated. The Guyana Water Inc. was also able to resolve scores of issues highlighted.
