Journalist Namila Baynes-Henry dies

Journalist Namila Baynes-Henry dies

Journalist Namila Baynes-Henry has passed. Big Smith News Watch has been informed that Baynes Henry died moments ago at the Infectious Diseases Hospital of the Ministry of Health.

Speaking with her son Allan, he told BIG Smith News Watch that his mother 63-years old, died half hour ago. He confirmed that she was brought down by the Coronavirus having being hospitalised at the above-mentioned institution two Thursdays ago.

Namila Baynes-Henry worked as a teacher before starting her media career which saw her functioning at Channel 9’s First Look, Department of Public Information and Press Officer within the Attorney General Chambers. She also served at the Society Against Sexual Orientation and Discrimination SASOD.

The young man said his mother was not allowed to receive visitors but that he was in contact with her via phone during her admission.

Baynes-henry of 180 Charlotte Street has served the media for a number of years as a talk show host and news editor.
