Guyana’s Young Athletes headed to Junior South American Games in Peru


Athletes and coaches headed off to the South American Junior Athletics Championships in Peru.
Guyana has sent a talented group of young athletes to compete at the Junior South American Games commencing on October 31 in Peru.
Leading the charge is Rodel Greene, who will participate in the triple jump, showcasing their explosive power and technique. In the sprinting events, Skylar Charles will compete in both the 100m and 200m, while Onesi Dunn will also challenge for honors in the 100m. Rounding out the sprinting contingent is Tishan Easton, set to tackle the 200m. The athletes will also participate in the 4×400 metres relay as well.
In the middle-distance events, Javon Roberts and Kaidon Persaud will represent Guyana in the 800m. The Junior South American Games present a significant opportunity for these athletes to showcase their skills on an international platform.
