Prime Minister Brigadier (retired) Mark Phillips and Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat, are currently in Antigua and Barbuda representing Guyana at the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Prime Minister Phillips is taking an active role in the conference, participating in an interactive dialogue during a high-level meeting on resource mobilization for SIDS.

This crucial session has been convened by the UN Secretary-General, focusing on strategies and solutions to bolster resources and support for small island developing nations.

The conference brings together leaders and representatives from various small island states to address common challenges and share insights on sustainable development, climate resilience, and economic growth.

Guyana’s participation underscores its commitment to regional cooperation and sustainable development goals.
