Police in Regional Division ‘2’ have launched an investigation following the discovery of a decomposed body in the upper flat of an unfinished building on the Tapakuma Trail, (High Point) Region Two on Tuesday.

According to police reports, a woman driving along the trail around 17:20 hrs noticed a strong stench coming from the direction of the building. She immediately alerted the police, who responded to the scene.

Investigators identified the body as that of a male, estimated to be around 50 years old. However, his identity remains unknown at this time. ‘

The body, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, was photographed and then transported to the Suddie Public Hospital, where it was officially pronounced dead by Dr. Ronaldo.

The remains are currently at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination. Police have conducted inquiries in the area to establish the identity of the deceased, but no useful information has been obtained so far.
