COVID-19 death toll rises to 403, 94 deaths in May

COVID-19 related deaths have now jumped to 403. On Friday, the Ministry of Health said that all three persons were “admitted with COVID-19 like symptoms”, they died “while receiving care at our medical institutions,” Friday’s press release from Ministry said.

The three persons are all women, two, 71 and 75 years or age and 36 year old woman. Two of these persons died in later May while one woman died on June 2nd according to the Ministry of Health. “Samples were taken at the time of admission which subsequently returned positive tests,” the Ministry said.

May saw the highest number of deaths, 94 deaths were recorded for that month, 64 deaths were recorded in April, 39 deaths were recorded in March and 15 and 19 deaths were recorded in January and February respectively.
