Jagdeo on 3-day working visit to Suriname

Vice President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo and Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat are in Suriname for a three-day working visit according posts on the Vice President’s Facebook page. The two officials are accompanied by Guyana’s Ambassador to Suriname, Keith George.
Today, Monday the Vice President and Minister Bharrat met with Suriname’s President Chandrikapersad Santokhi, Vice President, Ronnie Brunswijk, Ambassador Albert Ramdin, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation, Silvano Tjoong-Ahin, Minister of Spatial Planning & Environment at the Presidential Palace and Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry, David Abiamofo during meetings.
This visit to neighbor Suriname comes on the heels of a visit from President Santokhi a few weeks ago which saw the signing of a “Joint Gas Strategy.”
