A 20-year-old construction worker was remanded to prison after pleading guilty to causing bodily harm by wanton driving during an incident on the East Coast of Demerara.

Al Allen, of Lot 10 Middle Walk, Bee Hive, appeared on Monday before Magistrate S. Scare at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court. The charge was read to him, and he entered a guilty plea.

Allen was remanded to prison until his next court appearance, scheduled for December 4, 2025.

The charge stems from an incident on November 16 at Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara, in which 27-year-old Steve Pereira of Lot 22 Dochfour, Ann’s Grove, was injured.
