BREAKING: Police Service Commission Chairman dies

Chairman of the Police Service Commission Reverend Patrick Findlay has died.

BIG Smith News Watch has been able to confirm that Finlay died at the Sheriff Medical Hospital where he was receiving treatment. He died from a heart attack, his daughter confirmed with this publication.

Patrick Findlay was appointed Head of the Police Service Commission on May 31, 2022 where he and others were sworn it at the Office of the President.

Findlay’s appointment was the subject of court proceedings after the appointment and swearing in of Finlay and his Commissioners’ were challenge.

The appointment of the Police Service and Intregity Commissions were challenged by then Leader of the Opposition Aubrey Norton. The court however ruled that the commissions were properly constituted.

Reverend Findlay leaves to mourn his family, church members and friends.
