Police have found the body of Sunil Durga, the prime suspect in the abduction and murder of Telisha Domandeo.

His corpse was reportedly spotted about 30 minutes ago in the Canje Creek. The cause of death is unclear.

Police issued a wanted bulletin for the 50-year old Durga on Saturday, April 22, after finding Domandeo’s body, with the neck almost severed, wrapped in a blanket at Betsy Ground Village, West Canje, Berbice last Friday, April 21.

She was reportedly abducted on April 14, 2023 by Durga, with whom she shared a relationship and has a child.

Police said he had also abducted Domandeo a few years ago, but relatives never made a report.

Sources indicated that the motive appeared to be jealousy.

Police are also questioning two of Durga’s associates, who may have aided in the abduction.

A bulletin for the suspect gave his age as 50 and his last known address as Betsy Ground, Canje.
