Two men were rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital for medical attention where both of them are reportedly being treated for stab wounds.

Information out of Berbice suggests that the men had an altercation when they ended up in the Central Police Station enquires office. It was while at the station, one of the men reportedly stabbed the other.

However, the account that the stabbing took place inside the police station or anywhere on the police premises is being debunked by sources with the police force.

The BIG Smith Crime Watch was told by one rank who is stationed in the division, that the men had an argument on the road and one visited the station to report the matter. it is reported that when the other party arrived at the station, the two, ended up in an argument.

That police source is however denying that a stabbing or any contact between the two men took place at the station.

During the commotion where the two men were reportedly ‘arguing’ in the operations room, a number of police ranks exited their officers and rushed to see what was going on but they were hurriedly sent back to their desks by a senior operative within the division.

Charges are likely to be laid soon.
