Five arrested as gun ammo discovered

The five young men who are now in police custody

The police in Regional Division 4B on Friday evening where patrolling the Diamond grove area when ranks were hit with a strong marijuana scent coming from the veranda on which the young men were.

The weapon which the police found

Ranks then adopted a posture and approached the young men where they were each asked to subject themselves to a search.

It was in that process that the police found one .22 Smith and Wesson pistol with eight live matching rounds of ammunition.

The men were promptly arrested by the police and taken into custody as the police continue their investigations in relation to the matter.
