Baby discovered in Bourda barrel was stillborn- PM

A post-mortem examination has determined that the baby whose frozen body was discovered in a garbage barrel at Bourda, Georgetown, was stillborn, police sources have confirmed.
The discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon at Orange Walk, Bourda, by a sanitation worker who was emptying a garbage barrel. The baby was reportedly found at around 3:40 p.m.
Police have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
While the post-mortem has established that the child was stillborn, no further information has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy, birth or disposal of the infant’s body.
