Cuban National killed in industrial accident at Providence

A 25-year-old Cuban national was killed in an industrial accident on Friday morning at a construction site in Providence, East Bank Demerara.
Dead is Yuviosmar Galindo Cardona, who was reportedly operating a high-pressure hose connected to a cement machine during construction works when he lost control of the equipment.
According to police, the hose reportedly swung with force and struck him in the head, causing severe injuries.
Cardona was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.
His body has since been taken to a funeral home, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal workplace incident are being investigated.
