Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Priya Manickchand visited Bethany Village on Friday as part of the Government’s ongoing Cabinet Outreach, where she outlined plans to advance development and improve public services in the community.

During the engagement, the Minister highlighted a number of projects and initiatives that will be rolled out to strengthen infrastructure, expand access to essential services and improve the overall quality of life for residents.

She also met with villagers to hear concerns affecting the community, assuring them that the Government remains committed to delivering targeted investments and ensuring that hinterland and riverine communities continue to benefit from national development.

Manickchand said the outreach reflects the Government’s commitment to engaging communities directly, identifying their needs and implementing solutions that support long-term growth and sustainable development.

The Minister was accompanied by Member of Parliament and Toshao of Bethany Village, Sonia Latchman, along with officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
