Sophia Man Fatally Stabbed by Woman During Domestic Dispute

November 6 2025- A domestic dispute in Sophia turned deadly on Tuesday evening when 25-year-old Akeem Evans of B Field, Sophia, was fatally stabbed, allegedly by his reputed wife, 23-year-old Jenoria “Heaven” Browne.

According to reports, the fatal incident occurred in the lower flat of the couple’s home, which is owned by Evans’ parents. Residents said that Evans was seen running from the yard clutching his chest and bleeding heavily.

An eyewitness recounted that the injured man told her, he was stabbed by his wife before collapsing moments later.

Browne was later spotted running from the scene in tears but did not respond when questioned by neighbours.

Evans was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspect reportedly fled shortly after accompanying relatives to the hospital.

The murder weapon has not yet been found, but reports indicate that the couples home bore bloodstains on the speaker box and living room floor.

Evans reportedly sustained a single stab wound to the left side of his chest. His body is currently at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, Browne’s relatives have taken to social media, claiming that she was a victim of long-term abuse.

One of her relatives wrote: “Y’all could say whatever ayo want cause akeem wasn’t no pie & he ms always want deh beating me cousin like he’s she fucking father,how tf u could want beat she from lunch time till afternoon & then want beat she Infront she lil daughter injuring me lil cousin in de process”

They alleged that Evans had been violent toward her, including during the day of the fatal incident.

Authorities have since launched a manhunt for Browne, who remains on the run as investigations continue.
