By the end of day the trend will be clear-Pres. Ali

Without declaring a win for the Peoples Progressive Party Civic at the just concluded General and Regional Elections, incumbent president, Irfaan Ali, took to his social media page to congratulate all Guyanese for the peaceful exercising of their democratic rights.
Before heading to the polls, Ali warned that any attempts or moves by persons to act unlawfully during the election period would be met with swift responses by the Guyana Police Force.
In a Facebook post on his official page, President Ali stated that “By the end of day, the trend will be clear, and we will be in a position to move forward together.”
“I thank and congratulate every Guyanese for peacefully exercising their democratic right on the 1st of September. As GECOM continues the process of uploading, verification, and tabulation, I urge all to celebrate our democratic values as we open another chapter in the development of our beautiful country. By the end of today, the trend will be clear, and we will be in a position to move forward together. May God continue to bless our country and all its people.” President Irfaan Ali wrote.
The Guyana Elections Commission has been consistently uploading statements of polls from several districts as it seeks to keep the nation openly informed on the tabulation process following the close of polls.
The Commission did say in an earlier statement that by Wednesday the body would be able to release preliminary results for the election and should be in a position to make an official declaration of the results by September 04, 2025.
Many sections of the country reported a low voter turnout on Monday, something all political parties are still trying to grapple with, as it has apparently dashed hopes and expectations for those who contested as candidates for the respective parties.
