Tuffic Briglall, also known as “Turf,” a 37-year-old taxi driver of Danielstown Public Road, Essequibo Coast, was charged with break and enter and larceny in connection with a recent theft at West Sparta Dam.

Briglall appeared before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke at the Charity Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 16, 2025.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of G$250,000. As part of his bail conditions, he is required to report to the Anna Regina Police Station twice monthly until the trial concludes.

The charge stems from an alleged incident on June 11, 2025, during which Briglall is accused of breaking into the home of Vishwannauth Doodnauth and stealing G$220,000 in cash.

The case has been adjourned to June 24, 2025, for further proceedings.
