Vybz Kartel Freed!
President of the Court of Appeal JusticeMarva McDonald Bishop has just ruled that Vybz Kartel, and his coaccused, WILL NOT have to face a new trial.The ruling was handed down a short while ago in Court.
According to reports from the Jamaica Gleaner and Jamaica Observer, Freedom, a day before Jamaica celebrates Emancipation Day, caps an almost 13-year journey of arrests, trial, convictions, and a successful appeal for Kartel and Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Andre St John, and Kahira Jones.
The men were charged in September 2011 and convicted in March 2014 of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams’ murder. They were sentenced to life in prison in April 2014.
