AGRI Minister Commissions New Greenwich Park Pump Station
Zulfikar Mustapha, Minister of Agriculture, along with his team, inaugurated the Greenwich Park Pump Station yesterday.
During the ceremony, Minister Mustapha emphasized the importance and benefits of this significant government investment for local farmers.
The Greenwich Park area, which covers over 4,000 acres of rice cultivation, will greatly benefit from the new pump station.
Minister Mustapha highlighted that the station is equipped with two 100 cusec pumps capable of draining 4.9 inches of water within 24 hours, providing substantial relief to the vast acreage.
“This type of investment will significantly boost the agricultural sector in this area and enhance productivity,” stated Minister Mustapha.
