A charge of attempted murder will be read to 31-year-old construction worker Dexter Mc Donald, called ‘Labba’ in connection with the May, 8, shooting of Guyana Defence Force rank Azim Khan at Mon repos, East Coast Demerara.

Mc Donald, of Lot 73 Middle walk Buxton, East Coast Demerara, is scheduled to appear in court today. He reportedly also faces other serious charges.

Big Smith News Watch was informed that police are also questioning another suspect.

Private Azim Khan was shot by one of two men, who had broken into the home of the victim’s aunt.

His condition is listed as critical.

It is alleged that the intruders stole Khan’s phone, a gold chain, and $90,000.
