Traffic Empowerment sessions being conducted countrywide

Traffic empowerment sessions conducted are done to ensure improved appreciation of the rules of the road and how to use it safety with consideration for others.
Sessions are conducted in schools, at bars, on the roadway itself, along with predetermined venues for large gatherings.

Some venues covered so far include:
Eccles, Grove, and Mahdia Nursery Schools, Belvedere, Corriverton, South Ruimveldt, Matthews Ridge, Supply, Santa Rosa, Mon Repos, Scott, La Retraite, Massiah #71 and Cotton Tree Primary Schools, Berbice High and Port Kaituma Secondary Schools, and Rosignol, Amelia’s Ward, Kara Kara, and Enmore Public road.

These areas saw police and partners conducting lectures and sensitization sessions with students, pedestrians, and drivers.

This is an ongoing activity that also includes radio and television programs as well as daily pre-recorded messages aimed at promoting road safety and security.
