Gov’t rolls out $1.3B roadworks for Yarrowkabra, Kuru Kururu, Swan

Less than 5 months after President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali walked the streets of Yarrowkabra and Kuru Kururu to listen to the concerns of residents, the PPP/C Government has invested $1.3B to enhance the communities’ road network.

At a contract signing ceremony in the community yesterday, residents commended the administration for delivering on those promises to the people.

Minister within the Ministry of Public Works Deodat Indar said the 18 rigid pavement concrete road projects measuring 12.36km will result in highway-standard streets (4300psi) that will last for decades.

The Minister also encouraged the contractors to employ residents from the communities and minimize inconveniences at the project sites.

Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister Kwame McCoy was also present at the event.
