The annual Dog Show and Expo, hosted by Olympus Kennels was a day of fun and excitement for ALL dog lovers.

The event held last Sunday, had been promoted as a family-oriented affair, and saw hundreds of persons bringing their pet dogs out to showcase their talent, beauty and uniqueness.

Owners and their dogs came out in their best ensembles to enjoy a day out and have some fun in the sun at the St Stanislaus’s Ground at Carifesta Avenue.

The competition classes attracted more than 50 entries to compete in the categories of most obedient, best dressed, breed standard etc.

Organiser, Malcom Bourne told the BIG SMITH News Watch, that “the event was a major success, they were dogs of all shape sizes colour and breed, the weather was excellent and everything went according to plan.”

While organiser Hodhiah Lewi noted that “We were overwhelmed with the support and feedback we received from patrons who went with their dogs or went to just take a look at what was going on, we thank everyone that came and all our sponsors who made this event possible.”

In addition, the Paws and Claws pet supplies and spa set up a booth for last minute outfits and touch ups for the furry friends.
