St. Vincent & Grenadines to import homes from Guyana

St. Vincent and Grenadines Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves on Tuesday announced that his country will be importing houses from  Guyana.

The houses will be purchased from DuraVilla Homes Guyana Inc, a local company in the business of constructing low-cost, eco-friendly, and durable homes for sale.

The Vincy Prime Minister Tuesday received a guided Tour by Guyana’s Housing Minister Colin Coral of a construction site for Low-income homes, the DuraVilla establishment, and a local furniture store that does with sales of Kiln dried home and office furniture.

Dr. Gonsalves during the visit expressed his satisfaction with the models of the home, the apparent durability, and the manner and quality in which they are being constructed.

He further stated that it was a similar program that his country used after a major Natural Disaster that claimed the lives of dozens of that country’s citizens and destroyed a number of homes.

Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is on an official four-day visit to Guyana.
