Deputy Commissioner of Police Calvin Brutus and a team of officers from Force Headquarters, Eve Leary will be in Springlands Corentyne Berbice today.

The reason for Brutus and his team in Berbice today is to conduct interviews and accept persons into the Guyana Police Force.

The team will be in Berbice for three days and the application time runs from 09:00- to 16:00Hrs on each day.

While today’s recruitment drive will be in Springlands, on Thursday the team will be in Adventure while on Friday, the team will be in New Amsterdam.

With new housing developments opening and the need for added police officers to serve those areas, a number of new police stations and outposts are also in the pipeline.

In that regard, the Parliament has recently approved a request of the Guyana Police Force to increase its strength.

The Guyana Police Force is encouraging persons to understand that a career in policing can be rewarding, both for you as an individual and also for the communities you’ll serve.

Becoming a police officer opens up opportunities to develop personally, professionally and make a positive difference in your community.

Persons coming out to these events are reminded that they can apply on the spot once they’re in possession of their ID Card or Passport, Birth Certificate and any other certificates that they possess.
