A number of policing services have returned to the compound of the Brickdam Police Station. Following the October fire that destroyed the decades old police station, the police were continuing their work in the compound of the St. Stanislaus High School located next to the police station compound.

Assistant Commissioner and Commander of Division 4 A Simon McBean in an exclusive interview with this publication explained that officers are in the process of returning to that location.

“All our services, except for the commander’s officer, officer in charge of crime and court superintendent will be here,” he told us.

The traffic and general enquiries offices are already “in motion,” as well as the Impact Base, Commander McBean said as he explained that the lower Barrack room will be used to house a number of the policing services.

When we visited the compound, there were a hive of activities including painting and renovation to the living quarters known as the “Barracks” as well as the movement of furniture.

The police officers were already in action providing a number of key services to the public.

The Brickdam Police station was destroyed by fire in October. Clarence Greene, who was in the Brickdam lock ups at the time, has been charged with arson.
