A security Guard, Mohamed Al Rasheed 58 years old who is attached to Omai Wharf in region 10 is feared dead after he went into the Wismar, Demerara River and has not been seen since.

According to what was communicated to BIG Smith Crime Watch, the man about 17:45 hrs on Wednesday went to take a bath and given the strong current at the time, he drifted further into the deep and then began experiencing difficulty.

Other co-workers who observed his distress position attempted to get to him by jumping into the water with their life rings and jackets but by the time they reached to the spot where he was seen, the man had already gone under the water.

Up to the time of this report, there has been no sighting of the gentleman and the police and the workers at the facility are continuing their search for the man.

Mohamed Al Rasheed has been working at the location for some time now where he was tasked with overlooking a number of heavy duty equipment which are at the location.
