$392M Cannabis Farm Destroyed near Berbice River

A major narcotics eradication exercise conducted by the CID Narcotics Branch resulted in the discovery and destruction of approximately $392 million worth of cannabis in the Upper Berbice River region.
A report from the police indicates that the operation took place yesterday at a location known as ‘Old Vigilante’ and lasted from 4:00 AM to 11:10 PM.
Police uncovered a four-acre plot of land containing around 12,000 cannabis plants, ranging from three to seven feet in height.
A makeshift camp, located nearby, measured 40×20 feet and included a kitchen and drying area.
The drying area housed approximately 950 lbs of dried cannabis.
After documenting the site, the police destroyed both the farm and the camp by fire. The valuation of the narcotics was as follows:
Cannabis plants: $4,065,600
Dried cannabis: $387,821,160
Total value: $391,886,760
No arrests were made during the operation.
