36 city roads, streets, junctions for closure between Saturday/ Sunday

A total of 36 city streets, roads and junctions would be closed for various periods on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate first; a Flag-raising Ceremony on Saturday and second; the Mashramani celebrations and float parade on Sunday.
The Guyana Police Force is advising the general public especially motorists that as a means to facilitate a Flag Raising Ceremony on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at D’Urban Park the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 07:00hrs
Mandela Avenue and Hadfield streets – No Entry West, Homestretch and Mandela Avenue – No Entry West, Brickdam and College Road – No Entry East, Hadfield, and College Road – No Entry East, Haley and College Road – No Entry East, South Road and Oronoque streets – No Entry East, Chappel, and Durban streets – No Entry North, Durban and John streets – No Entry North, Regent, and Vlissengen Road – No Entry South, Shiv Chanderpaul Drive and South Road – No Entry East.
To facilitate the Mashramani Celebration and float parade the following road and streets will also be closed on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from 07:00 as follows.
Camp and Lamaha streets – No Entry North, Cowan and Camp streets – No Entry East, Woolford Avenue and Camp streets – No Entry West, Camp and Barrack streets – No Entry East, Camp and Thomas Land – No Entry West, Parade and Young streets – No Entry North, Young and High streets – No Entry East, Camp and Seawall Road – No Entry South, Dowdin Street and Vlissengen Road – No Entry West, Lamaha and Irving streets – No Entry East, D’Andrade Street and Vlissengen Road – No Entry West, Da Silva Street and Vlissengen Road– No Entry West, Garnett Street and Vlissengen Road – No Entry West, Barimita Avenue and Vlissengen Road – No Entry West, Eping Avenue and Vlissengen Road – No Entry West, Woolford Avenue and JB Singh Road – No Entry East, Anira and Irving streets – No Entry East, Laluni and Irving streets – No Entry East, Church and Peter Rose streets – No Entry East, North Road and Shiv Chanderpaul Drive – No Entry East, South Road and Shiv Chanderpaul Drive – No Entry East, Brickdam and Old College Road – No Entry East, Hadfield Street and Old College Road – No Entry East, Hadfield and Chappel streets – No Entry West, Mandela and Homestretch Avenue – No Entry West, Mandela and Hadfield streets – No Entry West.
