Venezuelan Nationals fined for trespassing at Lethem aerodrome

Three Venezuelan nationals have been fined $100,000 each after pleading guilty to trespassing at the Lethem Aerodrome.
The defendants—44-year-old Linsey Maria, 40-year-old Cruz Jose and 39-year-old Xavier Alexander—were arrested on August 28, 2026, and subsequently charged with trespassing on an aerodrome, contrary to Section 83(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 2018.
They appeared before Magistrate Nikkisha Logan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on August 31, 2026, where the charge was read to them.
All three pleaded guilty and were each fined $100,000, with an alternative sentence of two months’ imprisonment.
