Two arrested for gun find

As most of the country tries to remain indoors to stave off the effects of the increasing number of coronavirus cases, there are others, especially those with criminal intent who continue to roam the streets ‘looking for it’ as it wore.
On Friday evening a police patrol on the East Coast Demerara intercepted two young men at Onion Field La Boone Intention LBI where following which an unlicensed .32 revolver with two live rounds were discovered.
The police in a statement to the press on Saturday morning noted that the ranks were patrolling when they observed the men on a motorcycle and began to approach, upon seeing the police vehicle, one of the men tossed a bag to the side of the road.
The police intercepted them, carried out a search on them and later retrieved the bag in which the weapon was found.
In the official statement from the police, the names and addresses of the men were not revealed, the police would only confirm that the men reside in the same village.
