Representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security recently made a courtesy visit to Guyana’s top law enforcement officials.

The delegation met with Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken, Deputy Commissioner of Administration Calvin Brutus, and Deputy Commissioner of Operations Ravindradat Budhram. The meeting was held in the Commissioner’s Conference Room at Eve Leary.

The primary focus of the visit was to discuss the Bureau’s ongoing and upcoming initiatives in Guyana.

During the meeting, both parties explored strategies to strengthen the partnership between the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security and the Guyana Police Force (GPF). Various topics related to enhancing bilateral cooperation and security efforts were also discussed.

The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to work collaboratively on security and industry-related matters, fostering stronger ties and mutual support.
