Retired Assistant Commissioner Griffith dies

Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Christopher Griffith

Former Assistant Commissioner of Police Christopher Griffith has died.

Griffith reportedly died at home according to a facebook post from his wife.

Christopher Griffith retired from the Guyana Police Force in  Aril 2017 with his last posting being that of Assistant Commissioner Operations.

Before that, he served in a number of police divisions inclusive of West Demerara and East Coast Demerara as the Commander.

Retired Assistant Commissioner Griffith was generally a easy going and approachable police officer who served the Guyana Police Force with pride and enjoyed the respect of his colleagues and junior and other officers and ranks within the force.

He was also one of the officers within his time who was never shy of engaging the press on any matter that arose within his span of control and command.

BIG Smith News Watch expresses condolences to the wife, children other relatives and friends of Assistant Commissioner Christopher Griffith.
