The sofa in which Willis slept

Ronald Willis, 42 Years Old of Alexander Village is now displaced following a fire in his apartment in Alexander Village.

Firefighters who responded to the blaze reportedly told the occupant of the apartment that the fire was electrical in origin caused by a fluctuation in the power supply.

At First Street Alexander Village, Willis lives at lot 19 in a shack situated next to a two story building in the same yard.

Occupants of that house confirmed of hearing a loud explosion before seeing thick smoke followed by fire.

The fire department was contacted and they arrived with one tender which put out the blaze and prevent the fire from damaging nearby buildings.

Willis told BIG Smith News Watch that he usually plugs out everything except his refrigerator when leaving the house.

He however admitted that today, the television was left plugged when he left his apartment.
