The suspect, Kenny David, a 42-year-old miner from 5 Miles Arakaka, North West District, is currently under investigation in connection with the tragic event.

According to initial inquiries, the suspect and the victim were acquainted with each other. On the fateful night, the suspect was passing along the main access road when the victim called out to him.

Upon their arrival, the suspect, who remained at the location, was identified, cautioned, and subsequently taken into custody for further questioning. He remains detained as investigations continue into the incident.

Following standard procedures, the victim’s body was transported to the Port Kaituma hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Investigations are ongoing.
