Nothing prepared Guyanese for a Dildo in the Parliament

As Guyanese tuned into day one of the debate on the 2021 national budget, they probably expected the usual banter and rhetoric from members of parliament.
But nothing prepared them for the brandishing of a phallic shaped objective.. a sexy toy.. more specifically a dildo in the chambers of the National Assembly.
The object was displayed by government Member of Parliament and Ministry of Health staff Dr Vishwa Mahadeo.
The MP who was minutes into his debate criticized the former APNU-AFC administration of reversing what he said were several gains made in the health sector.
Dr Mahadeo accused the former government of making several ill informed purchases to treat patients, “Unto this day I still cannot understand how a veterinary anesthetic machine was bought in Region 6, to use on humans,” Dr Mahadeo said as he accused the former government of incompetence when it purchases a piece of equipment for Region 6.
Then, he told the House that the rehabilitation department of the Ministry of Health requested a piece of equipment to assist with persons having lung problems.
Dr Mahadeo said that the equipment would have been useful to persons with lung and breathing issues, especially those
bed-ridden.
“The request was made for mechanical chest vibrator, a vibrating machine/equipment that is placed flat on the chest area to stimulate the lungs,” the MP explained, “the then Ministry of Public Health bought a vibrating dildo instead! For the Rehab dept!” Dr Mahadeo told the House while holding the device.
“Can you imagine the consternation of the Rehab staff?” He asked, “Unto today when they speak of it you can hear the disgust in their voices,” the MP said.
Dr Mahadeo then chalked the procurement blunder to what is said could have been Incompetence, Ignorance, corruption or a combination of all three.
