‘Nose’ Granted Bail for Firearm Bust

October 28 2024 – Magistrate Fabayo Azore has granted bail to Eon Fagundes, known as “Nose,” who was charged in July with multiple counts of firearm and ammunition possession.
Fagundes, initially denied bail, was granted release for a total of $650,000 in bail during a court session earlier today after an extensive argument by his defense counsel.
According to reports, on July 24, detectives, acting on intelligence, executed a search at Fagundes’ Sandy Babb Street residence in Kitty, Georgetown, uncovering over 26 firearms, including high-powered rifles, handguns, and a cache of more than 1,600 rounds of ammunition.
Fagundes was later charged with unlawful possession of these weapons and ammunition and remanded to prison following his initial hearing on July 29, where he pleaded not guilty.
Defense attorney Siand Dhurjon argued in court that his client, who had been in custody for three months, had yet to receive a trial date due to delays in document disclosures.
Dhurjon also cited health issues Fagundes faced during his detention and contended that the evidence might not meet the minimum threshold required by law.
Magistrate Azore, noting these arguments, set bail at $350,000 for firearm possession, $150,000 for ammunition possession, and $150,000 for possessing firearm components.
The prosecution maintained strong opposition, emphasizing the severity of the charges and the large quantity of arms and ammunition found.
The case is scheduled to proceed to trial in February 2025.
In addition to Fagundes, several family members and a handyman were initially detained as part of the investigation.
Authorities reported that Fagundes was found exiting his residence with a bag containing several firearms, including a Sig Sauer rifle, Polymore-80 pistol, and a .45-caliber pistol with multiple rounds of ammunition.
Further searches led police to a nearby vehicle containing a suitcase and bags filled with additional firearms and over a thousand rounds of various calibers of ammunition.
