GDF rank among three killed in Whim smashup

A Guyana Defence Force rank is among three persons who were killed early this morning on the Whim Corentyne Public Road in Berbice. BIG Smith News Watch learned that just after midnight on Sunday, the lorry GJJ 5939  which was being driven by a 43-year-old, PGG 9262 which was being driven by a 19-year-old and PWW 582 driven by a 21-year-old collided.

The first car which slammed into the lobby

From all indications, the driver of the lorry Madray Ramsammy of Whim Village Corentyne was about to park the vehicle at the side of the road when motorcar driven by PGG 9626 driven by Krishna Raju collided with the rear of the said vehicle.

Shortly after that, motorcar PWW 582 which was been driven by Simon Alder came up and collided with the rear side of the lorry.

a result of that impact, the 21-year-old Jessica Leitch of Rose Hall Town, Antonio Lewis also known as quacy of Springlands, and a Male of African Descent (name address) along with the driver received injuries and were rushed to the hospital.

The driver was treated for minor injuries, while the others died whilst receiving medical treatment. The police conducted breath tests of all drivers involved which gave results as follows: the driver of MotorLorry=0; the driver of PGG 9262=118 micrograms and driver of PWW 582=53 micrograms. The investigation is ongoing.
